FACILITIES DIRECTOR

Full-Time

Experience, Knowledge and Skill

Minimum of 2 years’ experience/exposure in facilities maintenance and management; preferably in hospital maintenance and departmental management. Experience working closely alongside regulatory bodies such as the Fire Marshall, Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), and/or the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) is preferred.

Specialized or Technical Education Required

High School diploma or equivalence; or graduation from a recognized school in a craft applicable to this position. Must have knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.  Administrative skills are preferred. Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and codes related to healthcare facilities is preferred. Knowledge of Guidelines for Design and Construction of Healthcare Facilities is preferred. Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager preferred.

Manual or Physical Skill Required

Requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift, climb and walk in all types of weather conditions.
