Michael Magee joined Hood Memorial Hospital as Chief Financial Officer on August 05,2019.  Magee is responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction of Hood Memorial Hospital.

Magee brings with him over seven years of financial leadership experience at Critical Access Hospitals.  He has held previous CFO roles at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, Louisiana and Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centerville, Mississippi. Professionally, he is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and Society of Louisiana CPAs.

Magee earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 2007 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  He received his Certified Public Account (CPA)license in 2012 along with a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification in 2017.  

Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Magee is moving his family to the Northshore area.  In his free time, he enjoys LSU sporting events, traveling, golfing, and most of all spending time with his wife and three young sons.
