Hood Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Family Nurse Practitioner, Shea Edwards, has joined our Amite Rural Health Clinic practice.

Edwards earned a master’s degree in Nursing through Herzing University in Wisconsin. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing through Western Govenors University in Utah.  He is certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Originally from Wilmer, LA, Shea has strong family roots in ...and around Hood Memorial and our surrounding communities. In his free time Shea enjoys mentoring current nursing students, cooking, outdoor activities, and visiting with family and friends.
