A new visitation policy is in effect for Hood Memorial Hospital and Amite Rural Health Clinic.
INPATIENT VISITATION
· ONE visitor per patient per day will be allowed for patients who are not under any isolation precautions, including but not limited to COVID-19.
· Visitation is Monday-Friday from 2-3 p.m.
· Visitors must age 18 or older.
· Upon arrival, visitors must enter through the front lobby and complete the following: (1) Temperature check for fever; (2) Verbal screening for cough, shortness of breath, sore throat; (3) Hand sanitation. They will receive a“visitor sticker” once they pass the screening.
· Visitors are required to wear a mask and a “visitor sticker” the entire time they are in our facility.
· Visitors cannot bring in outside food or beverages.
Please contact Patient Activities Coordinator at (985) 748-9485 for any assistance with inpatient visitation restrictions. A virtual visit with a patient is an option for family members.
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITATION
· Adult patients receiving care in the Emergency Department will be allowed one support person; minors (<18 years) may be accompanied by one parent.Depending on social distancing protocols,additional visitors may be allowed in the front lobby.
· Upon arrival, visitors must complete the following: (1) Temperature check for fever; (2) Verbal screening for cough, shortness of breath, sore throat; (3) Hand sanitation. They will receive a“visitor sticker” once they pass the screening.
· Visitors age 2 and older are required to wear a mask and a “visitor sticker” the entire time they are in our facility.
· Visitors cannot bring in outside food or beverages.
AMITE RURAL HEALTH CLINIC VISITATION
· Adult patients receiving care at Amite Rural Health Clinic will be allowed one support person; minors(<18 years) may be accompanied by one parent.
· A parent/guardian may bring more than one child with them into our facility.
· Upon arrival, everyone must complete the following:( 1) Temperature check for fever; (2) Verbal screening for cough, shortness of breath, sore throat; (3) Hand sanitation.
· Everyone age 2 and older is required to wear a mask the entire time they are in our facility.
· Visitors cannot bring in outside food or beverages.
